Violent Video Games in Missouri Jail

No, The Corsair doesn't have a Playstation, nor does he want to have anything to do with that low grade Attention-Deficit-Disorder fare (Sniffs huffily), as violent criminals in Missouri love that shit (And why should they not? Video games speak to their particular "skill set"), and enjoy, while behind bars for crimes like rape and murder, video games touting --oh -- rape and murder (Averted Gaze), according to TheSmokingGun:

"Until the killjoys at Missouri's Department of Corrections stepped in earlier this month, inmates at the maximum security Jefferson City Correctional Center were able to pass their time playing violent video games like 'Hitman: Contracts,' 'Max Payne,' and 'Grand Theft Auto.' Seems that prison brass were unaware that many of the 80 titles in the facility's PlayStation-equipped video game room featured gory, blood-drenched action (activity in which many of the prison's inhabitants engaged while once at liberty). The officials banned 80 games after a Kansas City Star reporter asked about the propriety of murderers, rapists, and armed robbers honing their skills on titles like 'BloodRayne.'"

Some of the Taglines of Games at Missouri's Department of Corrections:

Hitman: Contracts: "... When you kill for money, there are no rules"

Max Payne's: "... Max Payne's signature slow motion gunplay has been improved on every level. Get ready for Bullet Time 2.0."

Grand Theft Auto: " ... From the decade of big hair, excess and pastel suits comes a story of one man's rise to the top of the criminal pile as Grand Theft Auto returns to the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system this October. Vice City is a huge urban sprawl ranging from the beach to the swamps and the glitz to the ghetto, and is the most varied, complete and alive digital city ever created. Combining non-linear gameplay with a character driven narrative, you arrive in a town brimming with delights and degradation and are given the opportunity to take it over as you choose."

Def Jam Fight for NY: (An gamespot review by one 'MochaFrost,' "... I can only say two negative things about the game. I would have liked more control over low & high blows(can't really control this)."

You get the idea ...
