Jya Z is in the news these days. First: Imprisoned druglord "Supreme" McGriff said in transcripts obtained by The Smoking Gun that he wants to approach the former rapper for a hand out in his criminal defense (Which, apparently, Jay Z has already hinted at via 3rd parties). Then, the October Fortune Magazine cover (The Corsair pours himself a glass of 1937 Pommard de Canniere burgundy). Now, according to the 3AM Girls:
"MILLIONAIRE rap star Jay-Z sure knows how to throw a party in style - even the invites are priceless.
"We hear all 500 guests for the launch party of his new club 40/40, in New Jersey, will each be sent a set of platinum keys, designed by jeweller-to-the-stars Jacob the Jeweller, before the big night.
"A source said: 'One of the keys fits the lock of a brand new black Mercedes Benz, which Jay-Z will give away at the glitzy bash.'"
At press time, The Corsair has not yet received his invitation (and neither have the 3AM Girls).
