George Michael To Perform Careless Whispers At Private Gig

George Michaels -- who likes to pick up "Father Figures" in desolate London public parks -- is too busy touring to attend his drunk driving trial, although he certainly has time to make a little scratch on the side performing at a private gig. The worst thing about it is that it isn't even for a corrupt Russian oligarch. The preformance is for some boring English Lord. From the 3AMGirls:

"SHH, have we got a Careless Whisper for you... Topshop tycoon Sir Philip Green is forking out around ($214,541) a minute for George Michael to perform at his birthday bash.

"The ex-Wham frontman is being paid what could be as much as £750,000 to perform for just one hour. Nice work if you can get it, eh George?

"Our favourite party-loving billionaire Sir Philip has asked more than 100 friends to pitch up at Stansted Airport next Tuesday for his 55th birthday celebrations. All they've been told is it pack for the sun and prepare for a long-haul flight.

"Well we can reveal that they're going to a no-expenses-spared, five-day extravaganza, believed to be in the Maldives.

"Among those invited are supermodel Kate Moss ... and Simon Cowell."

That's some class shit right there. Sterling guest list; the best that money could fly (Exaggerated cough suggesting feigned detachment).

"Generous Sir Phil, who's worth ($6.9 billion US), has also lined up Latin hip shaker Ricky Martin and there are even rumours of Michael Jackson making a guest appearance. We're told he had wanted Barry Manilow as well but, due to his schedule, he had to decline."

-- To be sure: A new "Mani-Low"

We heard that they chartered a plane to fly the thousands of Orchids from Thailand to the party spot.

All of the plants and orchids were supplied by Siam Orchids in Bangkok. www.siam-orchids.com
