Rodney King, Tawny Kittaen To Do Celebrity Rehab

Watching "Celebrity Rehab" on VH1 is a guilty pleasure. Certainly Dr. Drew Pinsky takes his vocation -- to help others beat their addictions -- seriously. But VH1, whose vocation it is to make celebrities look stupid for the sheer ratings value of the schadenfreude, sort of undermines the good work done by the good doctor. But as far as VH1 fare goes, it doesn't quite make you want to take a shower immediately after watching.

Anyhoo: This season the guests -- no doubt drawn by a common lack of shame -- include the truly Felliniesque posse of Gary Busey, Rodney "Can't We All Just Get Along" King and Tawny Kitaen. From the press release:

"Similar to the first cycle, the second season of 'Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew' will follow the real-life experiences of celebrity patients undergoing detoxification and treatment at a center in the Los Angeles area. The show will follow Jeff Conaway as he checks back into rehab after a series of back surgeries, setbacks and subsequent reliance on pain medications. Joining him in rehab are Sean Stewart (Sons of Hollywood), Amber Smith (model/actress), Rodney King, Nikki McKibbon (American Idol), Steven Adler (Guns N' Roses) and Tawny Kitaen (Actress). Gary Busey, who is 13 years sober from his cocaine addiction, will also be joining the cast to take the journey with the others and to share his experiences on the recovery process."

Are you going to "take the journey"?
