Where In The World Is Mary McFadden?

God, we love us some Mary McFadden. She is this scandalous socialite who loves younger men, and eschews her old moneyed beginnings opting instead for a life of creativity, eccentricity and the studious investigation of other cultures (and, of course, their young men). Mary McFadden, design archaeologist, is sort of like Gore Vidal, but less seeking after publicity. Old School bohemian, she (The Corsair pours himself a glass of ice-cold Grappa).

In fact, one rarely hears about Mary McFadden except when she turns up at some "exotic" event with some socially inappropriate man in tow who quite probably rocks her socks in the boudoir (Exaggerated cough suggesting feigned detachment). The socialites gasp and avert their gaze but secretly-probably wish that they had the courage to live a life not giving a fuck what other people thought about them and their inner Muse.

McFadden recently turned up at Washington’s Arthur M. Sackler Gallery's "Garden and Cosmos” opening reception in Arthur M. Sackler Pavilion with Indian dignitaries and other assorted boldfacers. And of course she wore a pumpkin-colored turban and Indian dress when she tucked into her spicy meal.
